Founding Partner of Supply Chain Executive Advisors, LLC, he is a pioneer in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and internationally recognized thought leader in this field. He has played a key role in developing many innovative Supply Chain concepts in Europe , integrating and coordinating the entire Supply Chain on an international basis with over 100 projects in 20 countries around the world. He has managed major projects in the following industries: consumer products, chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics and automotive. Overall, his expertise has lead to performance and profit improvements of several billion Euros.

During his 25 years in international consulting, he has held leading positions in global forms, including Chairman of the Global Supply Chain Network at Ernst and Young Management Consulting. Prior to co-founding SCEA, for 14 years he managed his own Supply Chain consulting firm with up to 60 employees. During the last few years he has developed advanced solutions in the rapidly increasing field of Supply Chain security, where he is an internationally recognized expert. The body of all his conceptual and practical work has focused on profit and service improvements, and in using innovative strategic and tactical solutions of global supply chain logistics management.

His knowledge and international experience has attracted many executives his advice in the field of Supply Chain Management (SCM). He has authored dozens of Thought Leadership Papers in SCM since 1979 and co-authored the book Supercharging Supply Chains - New Ways to Increase Value Through Global Operational Excellence, which was a best selling book business book published in the U.S. (1998) and in Japan (1999). He has been invited frequently to speak at leading conferences around the world and was appointed President of the German Association of Material Management in 1990.
